Just for your information that IBM is withdrawing Marketing support for WebSphere Portal 6.1.x effective from 14th November 2012.
The technical support will be provided till 14th November 2014.
This means that any industry using Portal 6.1 should think of upgrading to IBM WebSphere Portal 7 or IBM WebSphere Portal 8.0 in couple of years .

It seems to me that the announcements mention that IBM is withdrawing WebSphere Portal 6.1.x from "marketing" on 14th November 2012,
ReplyDeletebut the withdrawal from support is only on 30 September 2014,
so there's almost 2 years of support left.
Or am I mistaking?
My apologies. I overlooked the year of technical support and thought both marketing and tech. support have the same withdrawal date.
